36 year old Hamish originally comes from Sunderland.
Having recently completed his 2nd tour in Afghanistan Hamish is very happy to be back in the UK with his lovely Boxer, Hamilton.

Both charities being supported by Channel Eagle have personal relevance to Hamish with his father having Type 2 diabetes and the Royal British Legion giving great support to his soldiers and their families whilst Hamish was in Afghanistan.
Hamish has always been a sporty young man. As a child and into his early teens he was a keen member of Sunderland Amateur Swimming and Water Polo Club. Being a successful team player Hamish and his glowing smile often appeared in the local newspaper.
Still a high level water polo player, Hamish was a member of the Blandford Garrison squad who recently won the 2007 Army Water Polo championships.
On 7/8 July 2007, shortly before the Channel Relay Race, Hamish is representing the Army against the Navy and RAF at the Inter-Services Water Polo Championships at RAF Cranwell. Go for it Hamish!
Rugby is another sport close to his heart though Hamish is now languishing in a well-deserved semi-retirement and only plays with people smaller than himself.
Hamish is new to long-distance open water swimming and is finding it challenging. Thankfully his new swimming career also encourages his other hobbies of cooking, fine wines and real ale as part of his balanced training programme.
Hamish joined his team mates at the Inter-Services Open Water Swimming Campionships at Bala.
